MEETS National Fire Protection Association Standard: NFPA 701-04 (2004)
Are you still using paper products to cover floors, walls and counter tops on construction job sites? Local and State Fire Marshals are banning the use of paper, cardboard and other highly flammable materialas as temporary protective coverings!
For many years, building construction sites have typically used highly flammable kraft paper, template paper, rosin paper or cardboard to protect existing and new floors from damage instead of flame-retardant temporary protective floor and wall covering products. Paper products are not very durable, and they contribute to the propagation of fire and flame because of rapid combustion. Finish Guard™ was developed to address both of these shortcomings.
Many local and state fire marshals require fire and flame-retardant materials to be used for temporary protection on construction sites. The number of projects with this requirement is rapidly increasing. For safety and liability reasons, many fire safety officials feel that flame-retardant materials should be standard an ALL construction projects. Finish Guard™ is a fire and flame-retardant flexible plastic film material, which meets the requirements of National Fire Protection Association Standard, NFPA 701-04 (2004).
Finish Guard™ is far more durable than paper products, thus affording greater protection against damage to the surface of interior finishes. When properly secured into place, Finish Guard™ lays flat and does NOT slip or tear under foot traffic.
Finish Guard™ Heavy Duty Floor Protection and Wall Protection Film is available in rolls, either 36” x 150’ x 14 mils thick or 36” x 100’ x 30 mils thick. It is easily rolled out over damage-prone surfaces, and taped into place with wear-resistant ASTM Specification tape. It is commonly referred to as floor protection, floor protection film, floor film and floor cover. Finish Guard™ Heavy Duty Floor Protection and Wall Protection Film is used to protect ceramic tile, hardwood floors, resilient floors, walls, countertops and more.

The cushioning of Padded Finish Guard™ adds impact resistance to further GUARD the protected surface finish. It can be used to cover virtually any surface, and is an excellent choice for longer-term projects. Padded Finish Guard™ meets NFPA 701-04 (2004), and is available in rolls either 35.5” x 40’ x 1/16” thick or 35.5" x 100’ x 1/16” thick.

It is commonly referred to as carpet protection, carpet protection film, carpet film and carpet cover. Finish Guard™ Carpet Protection Film is used to protect carpet only. It is available in Standard, Non-Flame-Retardant fiber mat type also.
